CPI laid platform for Kutami, seeks more

It is bad that more importance was given to satisfy the groups in the Congress.

Hyderabad: The Congress has decided to go ahead and announce its first list of 74 candidates despite the unhappiness of Mahakutami allies over seat sharing.

After holding talks with Mahakutami leaders Prof. M. Kodandaram, L. Ramana and K. Jana Reddy, CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy said the party had decided to contest from Kottagudem, Wyra, Munugodu, Husnabad and Bellampalli.

In a press statement he said that the three seats that the Congress announced for the CPI were not acceptable. They said the CPI had laid the Mahakutami platform to target the TRS and BJP. “There must be a mutual understanding among the allied parties to take on the opponents.

The Congress will be responsible for the results,” it said. “It is bad that more importance was given to satisfy the groups in the Congress.”
