Vijayawada: Telugu Desam politburo member Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said here on Tuesday that while the ruling YSRC party is thrusting on people the “Why AP Needs Jagan” campaign, people are actually feeling shattered by the destructive rule of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for the past four-and-half years.
“People have started raising slogans ‘We Hate Jagan',” the TD leader remarked.
Umamaheswara Rao said during his padayatra as leader of opposition and while campaigning during the 2019 assembly elections, Jagan made 600 promises to the people. “But he has not fulfilled even a single promise,” the TD leader charged.
For example, he said, Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to increase monthly pension from Rs 2,000 paid during the TD regime to Rs 3,000. “But he has miserably failed in keeping his word,” he remarked.
The TD leader questioned whether the CM can prove that schemes like Amma Vodi, Kapu Nestham, Rythu Bharosa and Cheyutha are reaching the actual beneficiaries.
He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of blatantly lying at Monday's YSRC general body meeting. He asked how the Chief Minister, who has not constructed even a single road in the capital region of Amaravati, can build three capitals as being claimed.
Umamaheswara Rao further asked Jagan whether he has built even a single project.
