It is time to come out of NDA, says CK Janu
Kalpetta: Janadhipathya Rashtreeya Sabha leader C.K. Janu has said that the NDA had cheated the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes by neglecting them for the last two-and-a-half years, like the other two major political fronts.
“It is time to come out of the NDA fold,” she said. The sidelined communities were forced to join the NDA bandwagon due to the neglect and harassment they had faced in the state from the UDF and LDF, she said and added that the NDA was not different in treating the tribals and backward communities as inferior.
What irked Janu was the failure of the NDA leadership to give her a major role at the national level. It was earlier reported that she would be made the chairperson of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes or some other bodies. But even two years after joining the NDA, it has failed to keep its promise.
Janu feels that her neglect amounts to the neglect of tribals and backward communities. “The NDA accepted us as a party and included us in the political front, but nothing more than that. I am unable to explain to my people why we should remain in the NDA fold,” she said .
