BJP banks on KCR failure in fulfilling poll promises
Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao said in a scathing attack on caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao that he had belied the expectations of people and the BJP would seek votes based on promises against the performance of government.
Accusing Mr Rao of wasting a historic mandate in the past four-and-half years, he said that by advancing the elections, people were burdened with unnecessary expenditure.
Mr Rao’s reasons for dissolving the Assembly were not convincing, he said. Mr Rao was a politician who tendered resignation without cause,” he said.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Mr P. Muralidhar Rao said that Mr Rao failed to keep his promise to make a person from the Scheduled Castes the CM and hence he had no right to seek their votes. He said Mr Modi was the only politician who kept his promises to Dalits.
Propping up the sand mafia and the Nerella incident where SC youth were jailed, showed where KCR’s interests lay, he said. 4,500 farmers had committed suicide in the state, he said.
He said that 2 lakh jobs were promised but only 37781 were appointed. The BJP would publish a charge sheet and challenge him for a public debate, he asserted.
KCR hand in BJP list, alleges prabhakar
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Working President Ponnam Prabhakar said that the list of BJP candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections in Telangana state was prepared by the caretaker Chief Minister Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao and handed over to the BJP chief, Amit Shah. Prabhakar is obviously targetting Amit Shah along with the CM.
