K Chandrasekhar Rao flays opposition to districts

Retaliating to criticism regarding the reorganisation of districts, he said that the process had been going on for a year.

Warangal: Lashing out at Opposition parties, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Sunday that they need to learn to speak responsibly.

Retaliating to criticism regarding the reorganisation of districts, he said that the process had been going on for a year. Only after holding numerous discussions and debates with all the parties had the decision been taken, he added.

“The Congress neglected the people for 60 years. They always wanted the public to come to them, but for the first time the TRS government is going to the people by creating smaller districts and they are not able to digest it,” he said.
“It has become a habit for the Opposition parties to oppose whatever the state government proposes,” he said.

Only those with feudal mentalities would oppose development of the people. I want them to explain to me what is this scientific method they are talking about? They are even opposing the construction of a new Secretariat. The old building has now become like a dungeon. The-re is no proper hall for a meeting. What kind of impression does this leave on the foreign delegates who visit us?” he asked.

He said the Opposition leaders were clueless ab-out the issues they were taking up and asked why they were making a hue and cry over farmers when they were happy with enough rains.

He said that the CPM, which opposed the creation of Telangana state, did not have a moral right to be in the state.
