Health minister K K Shailaja rebuts allegations of nepotism

She said her daughter-in-law, an MBA (finance), was working in a public sector unit as apprentice trainee even before the marriage

Thiruvananthapuram: Health minister K.K. Shailaja on Sunday rebutted reports that her son and daughter-in-law got their jobs public sector companies through improper means. The minister clarified in a Facebook post that his son Lasith was an M Tech graduate, who was appointed at Kannur International Airport Limited in 2015 during the time of the previous UDF government.

“In fact, my son was ranked first in the written test conducted for the post,” she said. “Following this he was appointed as junior executive (electronics) in the IT department of the airport in September 2015. The result of the test is very much available in the website.” She said her daughter-in-law, an MBA (finance), was working in a public sector unit as apprentice trainee even before the marriage.
