Kishan's bus yatra to start in Basar on September 26

Aspirants from Adilabad in Delhi to lobby for party tickets

ADILABAD: Union minister and state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy will start his bus yatra from Basar on September 26. Three bus yatras, aimed at exposing the failures of the BRS government, are being launched by the party on the same day from different places. They will culminate on October 13.

The route map for the bus yatra in the erstwhile Adilabad district has also been finalized.

The party’s district committees are looking after the arrangements for the Basar bus yatra. The focus is on SC and ST Assembly constituencies while special meetings will be conducted in the reserved constituencies later this month. It will also organise various programs involving the locals, cadre, and second-rung leaders.

Meanwhile, screening of ticket aspirants will begin only after the special parliament session that is slated to begin on September 18. News is that survey teams (popularly known as Amit Shah’s teams) are in the districts to collect public opinions about the contenders and their winning potentialities.

Already, the party's high command is in search of strong leaders for the Lok Sabha elections and to be ready in case of simultaneous elections.

Senior leader Ravula Ramnath from Nirmal said that Kishan Reddy’s bus yatra will be a mass contact program in the run-up to the elections.

Meanwhile, the party is wooing disgruntled senior leaders from BRS with promises of tickets to contest in the next Assembly and Parliament elections in the district.

As things stand, quite a few leaders, who have applied for tickets from the erstwhile Adilabad district, are lobbying through their political channels while some are camping in Delhi to meet the central leadership for the same purpose.
