Anil Yadav accuses Naidu of hiring expensive legal team

During a press conference on Sunday, Anil Kumar referred to Naidu as 'Aviniti Anaconda,' insinuating corruption within the Telugu Desam

Tirupati: Former minister Anil Yadav has accused TD president and former chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of extravagant spending on his legal defence team. Yadav expressed astonishment at Naidu's purported ability to afford lawyers known to charge an exorbitant fee of '1 crore per hour. He questioned, "How can someone who claims not to even own a watch hire a lawyer with such astronomical fees? The people of Andhra Pradesh deserve answers."

During a press conference on Sunday, Anil Kumar Yadav referred to Chandrababu Naidu as 'Aviniti Anaconda,' insinuating corruption within the Telugu Desam. He also described Nara Lokesh, the general secretary of the party, as Naidu's 'suputrudu' and labeled Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan as 'datta putrudu', accusing Pawan Kalyan of unnecessary theatrics following Naidu's arrest. He stated, "Naidu's own son is quiet, but this foster son is creating unnecessary drama."

Yadav criticised BJP state president Purandeswari, who is also related to Chandrababu Naidu, for her statements suggesting that Naidu was falsely accused. He countered her claims by pointing to the evidence and stated, "She is not aware of the facts and is making baseless statements out of sentiment. How can she say it is a false case when there is evidence?"

The former minister predicted that the Telugu Desam party would "begin to rot from the roots now," referring to comments made by the party's Andhra Pradesh state president, Atchannaidu, who expressed disappointment that the public did not protest on the streets after Naidu's arrest.

Simultaneously, Yadav commended Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the Rs 371 crore skill development scam. He said, "By arresting Naidu in connection with the scam, our CM has sent a message that nobody, including even the most influential, will be spared if they are found guilty." He also expressed confidence that Naidu would never become chief minister again.
