Kishan: MIM broker for Congress, BRS

HYDERABAD: BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy strongly criticised the 'BRS-Congress-AIMIM troika' on Wednesday, cautioning the public about their strategy to mislead by spreading falsehoods about the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Kishan Reddy went as far as to characterise AIMIM as a party mediating the connection between BRS and Congress. He remarked, "The MIM is acting as an intermediary. In the Assembly, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao referred to MIM as a friend of the BRS and labelled it a secular party."

Challenging this stance, he questioned, "How can the MIM, a communal party, claim to be secular? The MIM was responsible for all communal riots in Hyderabad. It expelled people from numerous bastis. MIM leaders even proclaimed that they would 'take care of all Hindus in the country in 15 minutes.' Despite this, Chandrashekar Rao has given the MIM a secular label. He must clarify how the MIM acquired this status."

Kishan Reddy reiterated his party's stance that BRS and Congress are currently aligned and will continue to be so, based on their history of sharing power at both state and national levels. He asserted that the three parties are trying to deceive the people of Telangana. Their intention is to divide the anti-KCR and anti-BRS votes, and subsequently form an alliance after the elections to share power.

He further highlighted BRS working president and minister K.T. Rama Rao's statement, which solidified the unofficial alliance. Rama Rao announced that the BRS would participate in a coalition government at the national level and play a significant role therein.

"KTR has turned the BRS-Congress alliance into a reality, and citizens should understand that voting for either of these parties, or the MIM, equates to voting for the BRS and a potential return of the authoritarian and undemocratic rule of the Kalvakuntla family in Telangana," Kishan Reddy said.

He also criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his statement in the Lok Sabha, where he said "Bharat Mata and Hindustan were murdered" in Manipur. Kishan Reddy stated, "The Congress must realise that numerous entities, from the Mughals and British to later Pakistan and China, have attempted to erode our culture and honour over centuries, but their efforts have failed. Rahul Gandhi's statements today are unforgivable, and the Congress should be held accountable."
