Etala Rajendar accuses TRS of enrolling fake voters in Huzurabad

A complaint is being lodged with Election Commission against officials who are illegally working in support of TRS

Karimnagar: Former minister Etala Rajendar has accused ruling TRS of enrolling fake voters in Huzurabad constituency, apart from misusing government machinery to remove names of those it suspects of being BJP supporters.

Addressing media in Huzurabad on Saturday, Rajendar charged that 30 fake votes have been enrolled in the house of Huzurabad chairman and around 41 votes in another TRS leader’s house. A complaint is being lodged with Election Commission against officials who are illegally working in support of TRS.

He said BJP is chalking out an action plan to trace bogus voters in an attempt to stymie the ruling party, which is planning to win Huzurabad by-poll either by hook or crook. He alleged that TRS government is transferring unbiased officials and bringing its favourites, so that it could subvert the election result. Rajendar advised the newly appointed officials to discharge duties as per law, or face punishment under law in days to come.

The former minister alleged finance minister T. Harish Rao is camping at the Ranganayaka Sagar guesthouse and paying money to his own party leaders to enrol bogus voters. He maintained that people of every village in Huzurabad constituency have come to hate Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for such cheap tricks.

“People are ready to take Rs.1 lakh for each vote if the TRS is ready to pay them, but they have decided not to vote for TRS. They are waiting for an opportunity to teach CM KCR and TRS a fitting lesson,” Rajendar observed.

He asserted that the coming by-election will be a fight between KCR and Rajendar. “People will do justice to Rajendar and defeat the injustice meted out by the ruling party,” he remarked.

The former minister said TRS government has completed construction of double bedroom houses only in Sircilla, Gajwel and Siddipet, ignoring other regions. The government had even sanctioned 1,500 double bedroom houses for Huzurabad. But it has not released any funds for their construction, he stated.
