Naidu planning Telangana return under Cong garb: Harish Rao
HYDERABAD: Finance minister T. Harish Rao on Friday alleged that TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu was attempting to re-enter Telangana politics using the Congress.
The appointment of A. Revanth Reddy, who is known to be a close aide of Naidu, as TPCC chief is a clear indication of Naidu's attempts to re-enter Telangana politics, Harish Rao said while addressing a public meeting at Bejjanki mandal in Siddipet district.
He participated in a bike rally organised by TRS youth wing and launched a slew of development programmes in the mandal.
"In the 2018 Assembly polls, Naidu tried to enter Telangana politics by forging a Congress-TD alliance. But the Telangana people taught the Andhra Babu a fitting lesson by rejecting the alliance. Now he has realised that people will not allow him to enter Telangana if he comes with a TD face. That's why he is now sending his trusted followers into Congress and planning to enter Telangana politics under that garb. Naidu is also successfully indulging in backdoor politics to ensure that his followers get posts in Congress. Revanth Reddy’s elevation is a clear indication of his strategy," Harish Rao said.
He cautioned the people that it would be Naidu’s rule in Telangana if Congress returns to power.
"TRS is giving money to farmers in the name of Rythu Bandhu. But the BJP government at the Centre is snatching this away by increasing prices of diesel, petrol and all essential commodities," he said.
