Ex-MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana quits TRS, slams leadership

Speaking at a press meet held here at Godavarikani, Mr Satyanarayana came down heavily on the leadership for ruling the state cruelly.

Peddapalli: TRS senior leader and former Ramagundam MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana has dealt the party a massive blow by submitting his resignation on Tuesday. He was defeated by TRS’ Korakanti Chander in the Assembly elections.

Mr Satyanarayana, who was the chairman of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), had resigned from the post after his defeat.

Speaking at a press meet held here at Godavarikani, Mr Satyanarayana came down heavily on the leadership for ruling the state cruelly.

“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao gave me the chairman’s post at TSRTC without my asking, by seeing my efforts in strengthening the party. There is no respect for senior leaders in the party who strove hard for establishing the party from grass root levels,” he said.

Mr Satyanarayana said TRS leaders did not even give him membership books for enrolling people to the party and did not ask him to participate in the drive going on in the district.

Attacking former MP and Chennur MLA, Bulka Suman, Mr Satyanarayana said, “Bulka Suman along with other leaders in worked against me during the Assembly elections. They are responsible for TRS’s defeat in Ramagundam. Instead of taking action against such leaders, the TRS leadership is encouraging them.
