Bhatti lashes out at KCR for remarks on Dharani

Hyderabad: Congress Legislature Party leader Bhatti Vikramaka lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for misquoting him on the Dharani portal deliberately to confuse people about the flaws in the system.

Bhatti, whose People’s March padayatra entered its 85th day on Friday, told mediapersons at Gannerlapalli in Chandampeta mandal in Devarakonda constituency: “By removing the ‘Kasthu column’ in the Dharani portal, the government gave passbooks to those whose names were in the land records. This denied rights over the lands to those who were cultivating those lands.”

Responding to the CM calling him a fool, Bhatti e said, “Responding to the CM in the same language will side track the issue. He has to answer the grievances of people pertaining to Dharani. Belittling Opposition leaders shows KCR’s lack of culture and decency.”

“We will expose the biggest land scam under the guise of Dharani. He has failed to keep his promise to distribute three acres of land to the poor. Congress distributed 25 lakh acres to the poor in our tenure but KCR took them back by tampering land records by bringing in Dharani software,” Bhatti charged.

“The CM has been taking land from the poor and giving it to even MNCs like Amazon. Can he deny the takeover of lands from the poor and their sale to companies based in Dubai and the US? Isn't KTR functioning as a middle man for the MNCs,” he asked.

The High Court had passed strictures against the government for giving land near Hitec City at a throwaway price to Bandi Parthasarathy, a pharma company owner. When he raised the issue of these blatant violations during the padayatra, Rao had not given an explanation but was mocking at the padayatra.
