Thiruvananthapuram: Activist Rahul Easwar Activist Rahul Easwar has given a police petition against VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi for her controversial ‘Muslim Mukth Bharat’ statement. According to the petition filed by Mr. Easwar before the Museum police here on Wednesday, the statement of Sadhvi were violation of constitutional values and attracted penal charges under Section 153A and 295 A of Indian Penal Code.
The statement was offensive and would harm the secular fabric of the nation. The crime attained more significance as she even contested in the polls. Mr. Easwar urged the police to register a case and initiate further legal action.
He also urged that steps to withdraw the video footages of the statement being circulated on the internet should be taken as it could even fuel terrorism. Mr. Easwar said that he would file a petition before the court too on Friday.
