Vijayawada: Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has said he would make an announcement about his future political course soon.
In a letter addressed to the people on Wednesday, he deplored the way the political parties were using the Kapu reservation card to get the community’s support. He called for a change in the people’s mindset in ways as to effect a change in the minds of the political leaders.
He exhorted the people to strive for an era of clean politics. “There is a need to bring down the expenditure for polls and politicians should avoid indulging in any electoral malpractice to woo the voters.”
He spoke highly of the political background of his family members from his grandfather to his father and to himself and said they never aspired to make money in politics. “I hold the judiciary in high esteem,” he said and thanked it for resolving the Tuni train burning case by acquitting “all the innocent” persons.
