Rayapati Sambasiva Rao’s yagam for Chandrababu Naidu as CM

Mr Rao said it was an ancient and powerful temple hence he was conducting the yagam for the continuation of Mr Naidu as Chief Minister.

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam leaders have begun performing pujas seeking the victory of party president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. On Thursday, TD senior MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao performed the Satachandi Yagam and Maha Sudarshana Yagam at the Bugga Malleswara Swamy temple at Morjam-padu in Machavaram Mandal of Guntur district on Thursday.

Mr Rao said it was an ancient and powerful temple hence he was conducting the yagam for the continuation of Mr Naidu as Chief Minister for the development of AP State.

Mr Sambasiva Rao said that the then Amaravati king Raja Vasireddy Venkatadri Naidu had constructed the Bugga Malleswara Swamy temple and performed many yagams for the well-being of the public.

He said that the people of AP wanted Mr Naidu to once again assume charge as Chief Minister to develop the state and complete the construction of the new capital Amaravati. He said he had prayed for prosperity and wealth for the people a victory for the TD.

Chief Vedic Pundit Ch Srinivasa Sarma said the yagam would be performed for five days by senior pundits and would conclude with a poornahuti.
