Vijayawada: Barring an opinion poll conducted by a regional TV channel, all other surveys especially those done by Delhi-based private agencies and national channels have predicted a sweep by the YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh, which goes to the polls on Thursday.
The latest survey done by Delhi-based VDP Associates that released its results on Monday, shows the YSRC getting 106 to 118 Assembly seats with 43.85 per cent of the vote share and the ruling TD getting 54-68 seats with 40 per cent of the vote share.
Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena is expected to get one to three seats with 9.80 per cent of the vote share. The BJP and the Congress are projected to get 2.40 and 1.65 per cent respectively.
The Times Now-VMR survey projected that the YSRC will get 43.7 per cent of the vote share with 20 parliament seats and the TD is likely to get 35.4 per cent of the vote share and may get five seats.
CNN News 18 tied up with Neta App for the opinion poll and has projected 19 parliament seats going to the YSRC and six to the ruling TD. A completely different result has come out in Telugu TV channel TV5’s opinion poll. With a sample size of more than one lakh, it has projected the TD as likely to form the government with 105 seats and the YSRC is expected to get 65 seats.
