YSRC committed to social justice in true spirit: Sajjala

Vijayawada: YSR Congress general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Thursday asserted that state government is committed to providing social justice in its true spirit.

The senior party leader, who is also government adviser (Public Affairs), justified this statement in front of media persons saying of 18 MLC seats from MLAs’ quota, 11 have been allotted to BCs while the remaining have been allotted to SC, ST and minority communities.

“It is historic that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has adhered to social justice. The whole nation is watching him keenly. Of the 44 YSRC MLCs, 30 are from BC, SC and ST communities and four belong to the minority community,” Sajjala explained.

He pointed out that of the total 58 MLCs in State Legislative Council, 44 belong to YSRC and 10 are graduates. The strength of Telugu Desam is just four, he underlined.

The government adviser said YSRC is committed to providing 50 percent reservations for women wherever possible as part of their empowerment. The party is also according priority to people from BC, SC, ST and minority communities, he added.
