MLA Chirumurthy Lingaiah from Nakrekal constituency on Saturday announced his decision to join the TRS.
Hyderabad: Congress MLA Chirumurthy Lingaiah from Nakrekal constituency on Saturday announced his decision to join the TRS. He said he took the decision because he was attracted by the welfare schemes and development activities taken up by Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Mr Lingaiah said that if necessary, he would resign for his membership of the House and contest again from the constituency on a TRS ticket.
He also criticised Congress leaders in the state for not changing their approach despite being rejected by the people in the recent Assembly elections. He accused the Congress leaders of trying to stop the several development projects, including Yadadri Power Plant, by approaching courts.
