Shah did not reprimand, says BJP MLC Somu Veerraju
RAJAHMUNDRY: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju denied allocation of meagre funds to the state in the recently presented Union Budget by saying that the Centre had the responsibility to distribute funds to take care of interests of all stakeholders in the country.
Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, he was critical against the Opposition parties and others alleging that the AP was subjected to injustice in allocation of funds by the Centre and people in the state were not angry towards the Centre as it was a misconception being advocated by some people with vested interests.
Reacting to the criticism on the Centre that it failed to make major allocations to Andhra Pradesh, BJP national executive committee member said that the AP government would present its budget in March and wondered whether it could give more funds to the East Godavari district instead of allocating funds as per need to all 13 districts in a proper manner.
Commenting on reports of BJP national president Amit Shah reprimanding him for being aggressive against the TD government in the state, the BJP senior leader condemned the reports by saying that no leader had reprimanded him.
He turned down the criticism that he was serving as a covert for YSR Congress.
