Hyderabad: Senior BJP leader L.K. Advani spoke with TD MPs in the Lok Sabha for about 10 minutes. The MPs briefed Mr Advani about the cause for their agitation, and after hearing them he said, “Justice has to be done to AP. Everyone, respect each other, and the dignity of the House should be maintained.”

According to sources, Mr Advani said he had spoken to Union finance minister Arun Jaitley regarding the issue and he did not understand why the government was behaving in such a manner.

Two days ago, MP Sonia Gandhi, the former president of the AICC, also inquired with the TD MPs about their agitation. She asked them about the implementation of assurances given to AP in the AP Reorganisation Act and the release of funds to the state by the Centre.
