Pawan Kalyan can't compare himself with Lincoln, says Amarnath

Amarnath said the claim by Pawan was a joke -- that “because of a word from him to Amit Shah, the steel plant privatization was stopped.â€

Visakhapatnam: Industries minister Gudivada Amarnath has said it is ridiculous on part of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to compare himself with former US president Abraham Lincoln.

“His DNA matches more with Chandrababu Naidu,’’ Amarnath said while addressing the media here on Friday, in response to Pawan Kalyan’s speech at a public meeting on Thursday.

The minister said Pawan Kalyan lost his mind after seeing the Telangana results. “People now understand the strength of Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan Kalyan should tell the people how many days he had spent in AP after forming his Jana Sena.”

“Establishing his residence in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan comes to AP like a guest and makes irrational comments on local politics,’’ Amarnath said.

The minister said Pawan Kalyan challenged BRS in Telangana and YSRC in Andhra Pradesh and ultimately he destroyed the BJP in the Telangana elections. “Jana Sena became a political contract party with Pawan using his cinema image and caste card.”

Amarnath said the claim by Pawan Kalyan was a joke -- that “because of a word from him to Amit Shah, the steel plant privatization was stopped.”

“The central government made no such announcement on privatisation. The workers are still agitating at the plant gate, which Pawan might not be knowing,’’ Amarnath said.
