Madhira sets example with 91.65 per cent turnout
Khammam: The political pundits are anxious about the poll result of both Madhira and Aswaraopet.
Madhira witnessed 91.65 percent voting, which is a record in Madhira history. Both the camps of Congress and TRS are confident of winning the seat. At the same time, BLF candidate Kota Rambabu is also saying that he will create a trend in Madhira.
The polling ended in Madhira at 6 pm in most of the polling stations as the officials allowed the voters who were in the queue before 5 pm.
The activists of political parties are calculating each village-wise and mandal-wise polling and analysing it.
T. Appa Rao, a political activist said, “The highest poll percent confused the pulse of the voters. It may be considered as anti-incumbency on one side and government scheme beneficiaries on other side. At the same time, BLF vote sharing is at an unexpected level
In Aswaraopet, about 87.85 percent polling is done and the polling is high even in the remote polling stations. Interesting factor in Aswaraopet is that the segment is predominantly adivasi land. such as koya and nayakapodu.
The adivasis particularly women came to the booths as though it was festival time and cast their franchise.
Both camps are confident of winning. Telugu Desam leaders attributed the highest polling due to the opposition on sitting MLA Thati Venkateswarlu.
At the same time, the TRS candidate Thati said that the beneficiaries of the scheme caused the highest polling. Interestingly, all the four segments in Bhadradri district where polling ended by 4 pm witnessed impressive poll percentage.
It is 81.88 in Pinapaka, 82.09 in Yellandu, 81.19 in Kothagudem and 80.03 percent in Bhadrachalam. The poll percent is high in the four segments in Khammam district.
It is 88.65 in Sattupalli, 88.83 in Wyra and 90.99 in Palair but as usual, the urban voting is less than the rural voting and about 73.96 percent voters turned up at the polling stations in Khammam Assembly segment.
