Increase voter enrolment, says Naini Rajender Reddy

Reddy said that Mahakutami is about to win all the 12 seats from erstwhile Warangal district and form the government on December 11.

Warangal: District Congress Committee Chief Naini Rajender Reddy said that the Election Commission of India must take steps to increase the voter enrollment and also the voting percentage.

He suggested that voter identification card must be made mandatory just like the Aadhaar card which would encourage the people to enroll themselves.

He questioned what was the use of the ECI apologising after several eligible people were unable to cast their votes on Friday due to their names missing from the electoral rolls. He asked them to ensure that the missing votes issue should be rectified before the upcoming panchayat raj and Parliament elections.

“We complained to the ECI earlier about the missing names of several Congress workers but they have not responded,” he complained.

Reddy said that Mahakutami is about to win all the 12 seats from erstwhile Warangal district and form the government on December 11.

He thanked the party workers for cooperating and supporting the Mahakutami candidate in Warangal West constituency. He assured that the workers will get good chances in the upcoming panchayat raj elections and the Parliament elections. TPCC secretary E.V. Srinivas Rao, GWCC president Katla Srinivas and others were present.
