Venkat Reddy asks chemical factories to curb pollution

HYDERABAD: Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday directed the management of three chemical factories to replace old machinery at their plants to curb pollution in Kondamadugu in Yadadri.

In a visit, Venkat Reddy said that three chemical factories — Chandak, Astrar and Ajanta — located at Kondamadugu locality were causing pollution.

As the Central government sanctioned sports complexes and hospitals in the area, pollution would cause patients and sportspersons problems, he said.

“I request the management of three chemical factories to remove old manufacturing units and install new ones to prevent pollution. If police are causing problems to villagers for staging protests, I will be with the villagers to fight against the government for allowing such machinery,” Venkat Reddy said.
