Centre convenes meeting on sharing of AP assets in Delhi
Hyderabad: The Centre has asked Chief Secretaries of both TS and AP to attend a meeting on sharing of assets of AP Bhavan in Delhi.
In its communication to both the states, the Centre said that the Union home secretary will be holding a meeting on November 15 in Delhi to discuss sharing of assets of AP Bhavan.
Undivided AP state had over 20 acres of land in Delhi. Though 2.5 years have passed, the governments of successor states have failed to reach an agreement on sharing of assets of the combined state in Delhi.
The TS government has proposed that AP take all vacant lands and leave all buildings, including the AP Bhavan, to it. However, AP has opposed this, demanding sharing of all assets, including buildings and vacant lands, on the basis of population at the rate of 58:42 between the two states.
However, TS argues that AP has no right over AP Bhavan and it belongs to TS as it was once the property of the Nizams.
