HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, is all set to return to active work from October 15 after an enforced break due to a spell of ill-health, and hit the ground running declaring the much-awaited BRS party manifesto, as well as handing over his party nominees for the coming elections their B Forms, the official nomination documents issued by a party to its candidates.
The news that the Chief Minister, also the BRS party president is all set to return to action is expected to bring a huge cheer for his party candidates and cadre, especially after he going practically incommunicado after taking ill.
Chandrashekar Rao will file his own papers for contesting from Gajwel, and Kamareddy constituencies on November 9. November 10 is the last date for candidates to file their nomination papers for the elections that are to be held on November 30.
After handing over the B Forms to the BRS candidates – 114 of whom have already been declared out of the 119 constituencies – Chandrashekar Rao will brief his party leaders on the dos and don’ts with respect to the Election Code, and issue some directions on campaign strategies.
Party leaders said they were also eagerly looking forward for the BRS manifesto that will released on October 15 even as the two senior leaders of the party – BRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao, and Minister T Harish Rao – have dropped several hints that what the BRS manifesto will offer the people of Telangana, could well leave the opposition parties gasping and leave them well behind the BRS in the race to come to power. The BRS is looking to return to power for a third straight time with Rama Rao and Harish predicting a hattrick of victories for Chandrashekar Rao.
According to a schedule released on Monday, Chandrashekar Rao will also address a public meeting in Husnabad on October 15 after his meeting with his party candidates and leaders at Telangana Bhavan, the BRS headquarters in Hyderabad. He will continue his campaign for his party over the next three days with addressing public meetings in Janagaon and Bhongir constituencies on October 16, followed by public meetings in Siddipet and Siricilla constituencies, and Jadcherla and Medchal constituencies on October 17, and 18 respectively.
On November 9, the Chief Minister, who announced that he will contest from two constituencies this time, will file his first nomination in Gajwel, the constituency he currently represents in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. This he will do after offering prayers at the Konaipally Venkateswara Swamy temple in Siddipet constituency. Later in the afternoon, he will file his second nomination in Kamareddy constituency and then address a public meeting in Kamareddy.
