BRS Slams CVoter Survey, Calls It Brazen Effort to Prop Up Congress

HYDERABAD: The BRS on Monday dismissed a new CVoter survey that predicts a Congress victory in Telangana in the upcoming Assembly elections, terming it “dubious” and calling it a “conspiracy”.

“It is a perennial conspiracy of the CVoter Opinion Poll Survey to indulge in mediocre thought policing and manipulation of voters by promoting dubious surveys,” the BRS said in a statement.

BRS leader Dr Dasoju Sravan said: “The CVoter survey proved itself once again as ‘Cheating Voter Survey’. It is ridiculous to conclude that Congress will win 62 seats, whereas they are not even able to find competent candidates to contest in almost 50+ seats.”

He said the Congress is caught up in contradictions, conflicts and confusions, and was unable to declare its candidates. “Congress and CVoter tried to do the same in 2018, and once again, they are making a similar brazen effort now. Their fake surveys will get exposed on December 3 when the election results will be announced,” he said.

On Monday, CVoter predicted that Congress will get between 48 and 60 seats, followed by BRS which it said, will get between 43 and 55 seats. It said the BJP will have between 5 and 11 seats while others, it added, will get between 5 and 11 seats. Sravan said in 2018, CVoter predicted 64 seats for Congress, 42 for the then TRS and 4 for the BJP, but its predictions fell flat.

“With the blessings of people of Telangana, KCR will, for the third time, stabilise the seeds of development sown by him and strengthen Telangana further. No leader in Telangana is on par with KCR. No party is close to the BRS. Fake surveys and false narratives will not deter KCR. Telangana wants and needs KCR, who people love, just as KCR loves Telangana,” Dr Sravan said.
