Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu bars Telangana TD unit from alliance talk

Hyderabad: TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday told the party’s Telangana state unit that he would decide on any alliance or seat adjustment for the 2019 election at an appropriate time. He directed them not to air their views on the subject till then.

Mr Naidu who was here to attend a wedding reception in the evening, met TS TD leaders for three hours at his residence in the morning. When he was told that different views were being expressed by party leaders on the possible alliances, he said unless the TD leaders improved the party image and strengthened the organisation, it would be difficult for other parties to look to the TD for alliances.
