Telangana BJP dismisses talk of alliance with TRS
Hyderabad: Dismissing the speculation about increasing warmth between the top leadership of the BJP and the TRS, the state BJP on Monday said the TRS remains its rival in the state and its goal is to win in the 2019 Assembly election.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s endorsement of the TRS rule in the state and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s praise for the Modi government on Sunday set off speculation about realignment of political forces in the state.
Union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya said Mr Modi’s clear message to the party was to win the next elections. BJP official spokes-man Krishna Sagar Rao brushes aside any tie-up between the BJP and the TRS.
“As it is an official function at Gajwel, PM Modi sought cordial relationship betw-een the Centre and the state and promised all support. That doesn’t mean the TRS is our friend,” he explanied.
Narendra Modi launched old projects: Congress
The state Congress on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of launching projects, which were partly operati-onal during its rule.
The opposition party also criticised Mr Modi for not announcing any new project and blamed Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao for not seeking any funds.
The Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Shabbir Ali flayed Modi for his love for dalits and minorities as fake.
Mr Ali alleged that the CM has compl-etely failed to extract any benefit from the Centre for Telan-gana and failed to raise the issue of High Court bifurcation in Gajwel.
