Vijayawada: Newly appointed AP BJP president Daggubati Purandeswari will assume charge and address the party leaders and activists in Vijayawada on July 13.
BJP state general-secretary Vetukuri Suryanarayana Raju announced here on Saturday that they were making all arrangements to give a grand welcome to her as she would be visiting the city for the first time after her appointment as party’s state president.
He said that after receiving their party’s new chief at Vijayawada airport, they would take out a huge rally with party supporters up to the BJP head office in the city, adding that the arrangements were being made to erect party flags and flexi banners to welcome her.
He said that the party’s new chief would assume the charge in the presence of party leaders and supporters at the party office and deliver them. She will give directions on how to take the party further in the run-up to the elections in the state, he added. He called upon the party supporters to turn up in large numbers to welcome her and attend her first meeting.
