SFI activists stop Chandrasekhar Rao's convoy in Chotuppal

Police lathi-charged students and took a dozen of them into custody.

Hyderabad: Protest by students and housing corporation’s contract and outsourcing employees marred Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to Nalgonda district for the launch of Haritha Haram programme on Friday. A group of SFI activists stopped the CM’s convoy at Chotuppal on Hyderabad — Vijayawada National Highway, demanding a government degree college in Choutuppal, implementation of KG to PG free education, etc.

Police lathi-charged students and took a dozen of them into custody. Another batch of students staged a dharna demanding release of their comrades.
