TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar hits out at Congress leaders

He criticised that Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy says one thing at Jagityal, his own constituency, and says something else while in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashra Samiti (TRS) MLC Karne Prabhakar condemned the comments made by Telangana Congress leaders that the state government has turned Kaleswaram project into a tourist spot. He said that this shows the real nature of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and MLA T. Jeevan Reddy.

Speaking to mediapersons on Tuesday, Mr Prabhakar said that Telangana Congress leaders have not understood about the Kaleswaram Project till now.

He criticised that Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy says one thing at Jagityal, his own constituency, and says something else while in Hyderabad. He said that the Congress leaders are not able to accept everyone praising the Kaleswaram Project.

Mr Prabhakar said that during the Congress regime, irrigation projects had turned into deserts and now they have been converted into temples.

He said that during the Congress regime, the estimates of projects and mobilisation advances were increased but in the TRS regime, along with project costs, the Ayacut (the area served by an irrigation project) under the projects were also increased. He said that previous Congress Government had spent about Rs 9,000 crores for the survey and other works of Pranahitha and Chevella but the project was not started.

TRS MLC Prabhakar condemned the allegations made by TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy on printing of Pattadar pass books. He said that the TPCC president aims to criticise every work taken up by the TRS Government. He alleged that the Congress leaders indulged in corruption while they were in power and they are thinking the same is continuing in TRS Government’s regime also.
