Pinarayi claiming credit for Revenue's work, says CPI
The party was firm that CPM move to bring Mani into LDF should be opposed.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPI state executive on Monday accused chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan of trying to claim credit for the anti-encroachment drive carried out by the revenue department in Munnar.
Sources said at the executive meeting, CPI leaders said the chief minister had had convened the all party meeting to claim credit. The executive extended full support to the revenue minister to go ahead with the anti encroachment drive.
The executive members felt that the anti-encroachment drive had received huge support from various sections of the society. The mass support had prompted Pinarayi to claim credit.
CPI felt that since specific details of encroachment were available where was the need for convening all party meeting to discuss the issue. The revenue department had prepared a detailed list of encroachers in Munnar and various parts of Idukki district.
The executive members said the revenue department should remove all encroachments including big and small.
The CPI executive also criticised the CPM decision to support Kerala Congress(M) in Kottayam district. The party was firm that CPM move to bring Mani into LDF should be opposed.
Mani had lost relevance in the state politics and the CPM was trying to revive him by giving a helping hand. The party decided to take p the issue at the next LDF meeting.
