Telugu Desam to pray for Yadadri district
Hyderabad: Former Telugu Desam minister M. Narasimhulu on Sunday said that he will spend the night of May 18 at the entrance of the Yadadri temple praying for Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to have a change of thought and would favourably consider establishing a separate district with Yadadri as its headquarters.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Mr Narasimhulu said media reports suggested that Yadadri will be included in the new district of Jangaon in Warangal. If true, this will be against the wishes of crores of the devotees, he said.
The former minister said that while the Chief Minister has initiated several developmental projects including developing the shrine itself, it would be more appropriate to create a new district with headquarters at Yadadri so that it will get the fame and name it deserves.
He said he will not relent till Mr Rao announces Yadadri district on June 2 along with announcement of new districts on the eve of second anniversary of Telangana Formation Day.
