Kerala had best legislatures, says Sitaram Yechury
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechuri has hit out against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his statement that both the fronts have decided to taste the power in rotation saying that the statement was aimed at belittling the electorate of the state.
Mr Yechuri while speaking at election meetings of the LDF candidates in Thiruvananthapuram district said that state had one of the best electorate who know whom to vote. “They have voted some of the best legislatures in the past,” Mr Yechuri said.
He reiterated the allegation that there was a secret understanding between the BJP and the Congress. This was exposed by the statement made by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy the other day, Mr Yechuri said.
Mr Yechuri pointed out that it was during the rule of the Congress that Nirbhayas and Jishas are created. The police had tried to sabotage the murder case of Jisha in the first four days, Mr Yechuri said.
The CPM leader said the Prime Minister who was now shedding crocodile tears for Jisha had not even uttered a single word when two Dalit girls were murdered in Harayana.
