Bengaluru: Bangalore Central Congress candidate Rizwan Arshad had a star campaigner by his side on Monday-former CM Siddaramaiah-who made the most of the opportunity to lambast Prime Minister Narendra Modi's five-year term at the Centre saying all he did was to hand out sops to his capitalist friends.
“Modi is responsible for allowing his industrialist friends to loot and scoot from the country. His term has brought smiles to the rich man's face and tears to the poor. On the other hand, we in Karnataka have waived farmer loans and launched several Bhagyas,” said the Congress leader.
Terming the BJP manifesto a bundle of lies, Siddaramaiah wondered what was new in it? "Be it Ram Mandir or the common civil code, they have been the BJP's agenda always," he said.
