Nellore: BJP leader says TD will not get second spot
Nellore: Saying that TD would be routed in the ensuing elections, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said the party may not even get opposition status.
Addressing media persons at BJP office in Ongole on Monday, he said BJP will emerge the single largest party and establish its government at the Centre.
He criticised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for claiming credit to Central sche-mes and grants apart and diverting funds.
The senior BJP leader defended the NDA government over special category status under the plea that the Centre would release Rs 16,000 crore grant as special package to the state in lieu of SCS.
"Chandrababu Naidu had given 600 assurances but not even fulfilled 60 of them. They have even removed the details of promises from the website" Mr Narasimha Rao alleged.
He has also accused Chandrababu Naidu for blaming centre over major Port at Ramayapatnam even without writing a letter to the centre on the subject. Now it going to be only a minor port instead of major one, he observed.
Referring to Rs 2000 acres acquired by the centre for NIMZ (National Investment and Manufacturing Zone) at Kanigiri in Prakasam district, he took a dig on Chandrababu Naidu for his inability to complete Velugonda project.
He appealed the people to elect BJP candidate for Ongole parliament and party nominees for assembly seats in Prakasam district.
