Chandrababu Naidu is future PM, says HD Deve Gowda
Vijayawada: TD supremo and N. Chandrababu Naidu dared his counterpart Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to write to the Centre in favour of Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a road show at Tiruvuru in Krishna district along with former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda, the TD supremo also asked Mr Rao if he can withdraw the case filed by him on Polavaram in the Supreme Court by Tuesday. While Naidu touched Gowda’s feet, the latter addressed Mr Naidu as the future Prime Minister.
Mr Naidu also asked the people to beware of the conspiracy hatched against Andhra Pradesh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Rao and YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr Naidu took objection to the YSRC chief tying up with Mr Rao who was ‘hurting AP at every step’. “Mr Reddy should speak to KCR and makes him write a letter to the Centre recommending SCS to AP. Mr Rao should also withdraw his government’s affidavit filed before the Supreme Court against AP’s lifeline, the Polavaram project. It is not a time for collusive politics but Mr Reddy has joined hands with AP’s enemies like Mr Rao and Mr Modi. We should teach them a lesson,” he said.
Mr Gowda said Mr Naidu is capable of uniting all regional parties across the country against Mr Modi for the sake of democracy.
