Mysuru: It was time to treat his taste buds and revel in nostalgia at the end of a high-voltage, weeklong electioneering for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here on Saturday.
Around 11 am, he stepped into Ramya Mahendra Hotel near RTO circle, a restaurant he had turned into his adda well before entering politics in the early '80s, to savour a crisp masala dosa served with a cube of butter and green chutney with the flavour of coriander. An onion dosa, idli and vada and a mouthful of pongal and piping hot coffee made up his quickie breakfast.
PWD minister Dr H.C. Mahadevappa and a couple of friends accompanied Mr Siddaramaiah to the restaurant, his second visit after occupying the CM’s gaddi, according to Mr G.G. Mahendra, owner of the restaurant.
This restaurant was the favourite haunt of the late chief minister S. Bangarappa and the late thespian Dr Rajkumar.
