Throwing shoe an act of 'frustration', says AAP

This is nothing but an act of frustration owing to Kejriwal government's success.'

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday dubbed the throwing of a shoe at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal 'as an act of frustration' because of the success of road rationing scheme initiated by the state government.

"Few people who had displeasure when the Odd Even Scheme became successful, so it is the act of frustrated people who are trying to derail the work," Transport Minister Gopal Rai told the media here.

"As far as the CD is concerned, we have acted on it, the concerned person has been removed," he added.

Rai further pointed out that it is an attempt by unsuccessful people to derail the Odd Even plan.

"But this initiative will continue and we will overcome all the trouble, this is a frustrated activity," he added.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while informing the public about the second phase of the odd-even vehicle rationing scheme from April 15 to 30, got hit by a shoe which was hurled at him.

The shoe thrower, identified as Ved Prakash, has been detained for questioning and is reportedly a member of the Aam Aadmi Sena.
