Arogya Mahila Scheme launched in Adilabad

ADILABAD: Minister Indrakaran Reddy, MLAs and officials launched the Arogya Mahila Scheme in Adilabad on Wednesday coinciding with the International Women’s Day.

Under the scheme, women suffering from different ailments can undergo medical tests every Tuesday.

Launching the scheme, Indrakaran Reddy reiterated that BRS government is committed to the welfare and development of women. He pointed out that state government is also implementing KCR nutritional kits for pregnant women.

Speaking on the occasion, local MLA Jogu Ramanna said under the Arogya Mahila Scheme women can get examined and also collect medicines for their ailments.

Coinciding with the International Women’s Day, minister Indrakaran distributed interest-free loans to some of the self-help groups (SHGs) of women.

Telangana Women’s Commission member Kumra Eshari Bai, collector Rahul Raj, trainee assistant collector Dr. P. Sreeja, municipal chairman Jogu Premender, commissioner Shailaja and DMHO Narender Rathod were among those present.
