Adagur Vishwanath response to Congress notice: I'm no hypocrite

The KPCC has no right to issue notices to us, says Adagur H Vishwanath.

Mysuru: Veteran Congress leader, Adagur H Vishwanath who has written a three page open letter to KPCC president, Dr G Parameshwar in response to the show cause notice issued to him, denied on Wedneday that he had ever criticised Congress president Sonia Gandhi or vice president, Rahul Gandhi, as alleged.

"We are sincere, loyal party workers of the Congress and have never been hypocrites. In hardly five or six lines they have claimed that I criticised AICC leaders, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. This is false and baseless and has never been reported by any newspaper or the electronic media. I have only informed party workers and the general public about the attitude of Dr Parameshwar, the Chief Minister and their colleagues, and the harm this was causing the party," he told reporters here.

Asserting that all seniors leaders like him, Jaffer Sharif and Janardhan Poojary, were no ordinary members, but assets to the party, he said, " We are members of the AICC. The KPCC has no right to issue notices to us. They can only recommend it to the AICC." Deploring that after the party came to power, the CM had never invited party seniors for talks even for courtesy's sake, he said, "Your doors are closed. So it has become inevitable for us to come out and speak on the streets."
