Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth, who has made clear his intentions to
contest Tamil Nadu assembly elections after launching a party of his own, on Thursday said he would take a decision on contesting Parliament polls due in 2019 at an “appropriate time.”
“I will take the decision at an appropriate time,” Rajinikanth told reporters when asked whether his yet-to-be launched party will contest the Parliament and local body polls.
The actor also said the “system was incorrect in Tamil Nadu and it needs to be corrected first.” The actor’s “system is incorrect” in the state comment made in May last year led to wide spread speculationabout his political entry that was expected for decades.
Finally, the actor announced that he would launch a party soon and contest all 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu.
