KCR directs minister to complete construction of Secretariat building

The CM asked the minister to complete landscaping, installation of security systems inside the Secretariat building premises

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday directed minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy to take measures to complete the construction of the Secretariat building at the earliest.

The CM asked the minister and officials to complete the landscaping, installation of security systems and work on related structures inside the premises on a warfooting.

"Keeping in view the round the clock security system, the officials must coordinate with Director General of Police (DGP) M. Mahendar Reddy on the construction of the police towers,” the Chief Minister said at review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.

The Chief Minister also reviewed irrigation projects and directed officials to the detailed project reports on Godavari river projects, and submit them to the Central water boards to seek the required permission for their construction.

Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his dissatisfaction over the delay in issuing permissions for the Sitarama, Sammakkasagar and Muktheswara (Chinna Kaleshwaram) irrigation projects, the Chanaka Korata barrage and the Chottupalli Hanmanth Reddy project though officials had submitted its DPRs five months ago.

The Chief Minister also directed the officials to complete pending irrigation projects and to float fresh tenders in the current year.
