Dhinakaran remains unruffled as Opposition walks out

Earlier, Dhinakaran arrived at the Assembly-House accompanied by the 18 MLAs who were disqualified for supporting him.

CHENNAI: The newly elected MLA from the Chennai's RK Nagar Assembly constituency T.T.V. Dhinakaran who entered the Tamil Nadu Assembly for the first time as legislator on Monday, remained unruffled as opposition parties led by the DMK boycotted the Governor's customary address to the Assembly on Monday.

He was allocated seat number 148 in the House. Earlier, Dhinakaran arrived at the Assembly-House accompanied by the 18 MLAs who were disqualified for supporting him.

The disqualified legislators were however denied entry into the Assembly and only Dhinakaran was permitted to enter. Nephew of jailed V. K. Sasikala, Dhinakaran was seen sitting alone for sometime at his allotted seat facing the Treasury Benches and besides the DMK members. Then he was greeted by some members of DMK.
