AP high court to be set up in Kurnool soon: Buggana

ANANTAPUR: Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath said on Friday that the AP High Court will soon be established in Kurnool. Efforts are also on for the setting up of a National Law University near Jagannatha Gattu in Kurnool.

Rajendranath laid the foundation stone for 57km of pipeline from Muchumarri reservoir, a part of Handri Neeva Sujala Shravanthi towards the mega industrial hub at Orvakal in Kurnool district.

The minister announced that a separate reservoir in the name of Mallikarjuna Reservoir at Orvakal would provide water to the industrial area. “We got the Hyderabad-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor following efforts of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with assistance from Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

"Adequate land for establishment of industries under the central government-initiated projects is reserved in Orvakal mega industrial area and there will be single window clearances for all investors,” Rajendranath said.

He recalled that AP stood in the fourth place in the Ease of Doing Business because of speedy clearances of permissions at all levels.

Kurnool Silver Jubilee College, which has a history of gifting many civil service officers and talented professionals to the nation, will be renovated at an estimated cost of Rs 100 cr.
