Got freedom from slavery' after leaving TRS: Etala
Karimnagar: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is not inclined to listen to others and thinks he is the only intellectual, BJP leader Etala Rajendar alleged here on Wednesday. He claimed that he had been facing a lot of problems with the CM’s “arrogant behaviour” and had got “freedom from slavery” after leaving the TRS.
Addressing the huge gathering at a Dalit Morcha meeting here in Jammikunta of bypoll-bound Huzurabad in Karimnagar district on Thursday, he thanked the community for showing him love and affection.
He said that when he was very young, his family had been declared outcaste by his own community for fighting for the self-respect of the Dalits.
He alleged that in 2018, Chandrashekar Rao had tried to defeat Telangana movement leaders by distributing pamphlets against them and funding rivals, Rajendar alleged. He claimed that Harish Rao had attempted to become CM because of which Chandrashekar Rao had distanced him.
“Only when I said we are the owners of the TRS that Harish Rao got the minister’s post. Harish is also fully aware of this but fearing that he would lose the post he is keeping quiet,” Rajendar claimed.
He claimed Chandrashekar Rao had “cheated” Dalits with the promise of three acres of land and the CM’s post, and had introduced Dalit Bandhu only to grab the 46,000 votes of the community. “If I would have not have resigned, the Dalit Bandhu scheme would not have been implemented in Huzurabad,” he said.
