Etala resigned for selfish reasons, claims Harish Rao
Karimnagar: BJP leader Etala Rajendar did not submit resign demanding Huzurabad as a separate district or for not sanctioning a medical college, he quit for his personal benefits, alleged finance minister T. Harish Rao during a campaign for the October 30 Huzurabad Assembly byelection at Dharmarajupalli in Karimnagar district on Thursday.
Harish Rao appealed to the people to think which is better for them — a single person benefiting or the well being of all of society. “Rajendar has joined the BJP. What has the does BJP done do for the welfare of the people? By increasing the price of gas cylinders, it is increasing the burden on the people,” Harish Rao said, canvassing votes for TRS candidate Gellu Srinivas Yadav.
He said Rajendar’s boast that Huzurabad was seeing developmental activities only due to his resignation is wrong. “For whom did Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao implement KCR Kits, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima and 24 hours supply to farmers,: Harish Rao asked.
He said farmers of Dharmarajupalli first received the Rythu Bandhu amount. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the CM had stopped salaries for everyone but sanctioned money for the Rythu Bandhu, pension scheme and free rice distribution.
He asked if any BJP government was sanctioning Rs 1 lakh for the marriage of girl children, he said referring to Kalyana Lakshmi.
