Hyderabad: Hours before Ms Tamilisai Soundararajan takes oath as the first woman Governor of the state on Sunday, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao decided to induct the first two woman ministers of Telangana.

Sources said Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would induct party working president K.T. Rama Rao and former irrigation minister Harish Rao into the Cabinet besides Ms Sabitha Indra Reddy and Ms Satyavathi Rathod. Sources said no one would be dropped from the ministry.

The Cabinet expansion will take place on 4 pm on Sunday, which is the auspicious Dasami. Ms Sundararajan will be sworn in earlier in the day. Mr Chandrasekhar Rao instructed Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi to make arrangements at Raj Bhavan for the swearing-in of the ministers. He has informed Ms Soundar-arajan about the Cabinet expansion. Though Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had the scope to induct six ministers, the fate of aspirants like Council member Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalkar and former minister Jogu Ramanna hangs in the balance.

Mr Rao appointed Mr D Vinay Vhaskar as Chief Whip in Assembly and and Ms G. Sunitha, Mr Balka Suman, Mr Rega Kantha Rao and two others as Whips.
